The founder of Viridi Eco, Evelina Viridien, told us a beautiful story from the brand’s path:

“One typical day when I was in my shop, a customer with a lot of hand eczema came in. She had been seeing doctors and received both cortisone ointment and an emollient cream, but they had not helped her. The customer was desperate.

I looked at her eczema and then picked out Simply natural hand lotion for her. “Use this”, I told the customer and explained the benefits of the natural product.

Two weeks later, the customer returned and there were only a few eczema points left on her hands. She had thrown away her cortisone ointment and was lyrical about this new cream.

Moments like these are of course the highlights on the journey of my own skincare brand ViridEco and it was to achieve results like these I had in mind when I started the business five years ago.”

Evelina is a trained chef originally but she became interested in skincare early on and in how different substances in skincare products affect our body. She knew from the beginning that she wanted to create an organic series of products with natural ingredients that make the body feel good. She called her concept bioactive skincare.

“Bioactive Skincare is about how different substances affect the body in different ways. You can get different substances to collaborate with each other to get several hundred times greater effects than if you apply these raw materials one at a time to the skin”, explains Evelina.

Evelina collaborates with a chemist, to verify all recipes before the products are manufactured, which are then also tested in an independent laboratory from a sustainability and allergy point of view.
