In the awards autumn series of blog posts, we get to know the brands and people behind the nominee products of the Nordic Natural Beauty Awards 2021. In this post, we are proud to share more about the Swedish brand Rosenserien, as told by the founder of the brand, Carina Swartz:
“The demand for natural and organic skincare and beauty products is rapidly increasing, though this is not new to us at Rosenserien. As early as in the ’80s, we started developing and producing natural alternatives for sustainable skincare and beauty products. Our philosophy has stayed the same over all these years; the products are based on high-quality natural and organic ingredients, produced on a small scale and with careful production, all manufactured in Sweden. Ultimately, Rosenserien is a Swedish organic skincare line for the whole family.
Rosenserien’s products are based on certified organic and fair trade aloe vera gel instead of water, which means that the products last a long time way and the need for preservatives is minimized. Chinese green tea and cold-pressed vegetable oils are also used as a base for many of the products.
We at Rosenserien have invested in quality ingredients despite their relatively high price. Cheaper ingredients are often less effective because they do not contain cell-activating substances. Our plants come from organic cultivation, which means that the plants are not sprayed with chemicals or artificial fertilizers and that they are harvested by hand.
As our name Rosenserien comes from roses, naturally, rose oil is an important part of the product line and is found in almost all our products. Roses have been used in skincare due to their efficacy and fragrance for thousands of years, in places such as India, China, and Ancient Greece. Rose oil has a fantastically beneficial effect on all skin types and is particularly good for sensitive and mature skin types. Rose oil is also considered to have a calming effect on irritated skin and on shallow capillaries. Fun fact; it takes 5000 kilos of rose petals to produce 1 liter of rose oil.
The Rosenserien products have a well-balanced amount of vitamins, minerals, proteins, and antioxidants that provide a soothing skincare experience. All products are 100% natural and mostly made from organic certified ingredients.
Rosenserien’s products contain ingredients that are known to be hypoallergenic and they are dermatologically tested on human volunteers, particularly on those with sensitive skin. Rosenserien never conducts animal testing, and as proof of this – Rosenserien is approved by “Djurens Rätt” (Animal Rights Sweden) and PETA.
Nominated in the Nordic Natural Beauty Awards 2021:
We are proud to have, not only one but two products nominated in this year’s Nordic Natural Beauty Awards. One of our most sold products, Rose Cream Anti Wrinkle, is nominated in the Nordic Natural Beauty Awards 2021. The cream is a combined day and night cream containing para cress that has a documented effect on line formation in the skin. It has a base of organic and fair trade aloe vera gel and is also rich in antioxidants and fatty acids which slow the aging process of the skin. The organic content is as high as 81%.
The other nominated product, Organic Cotton Mask, is a 100% natural serum mask for intensive moisture that softens, reduces fine lines, and leaves the skin glowing. The mask contains hyaluronic acid for optimum moisture and prickly pear to improve skin firmness and elasticity, and prevent damage to DNA. The mask also contains prebiotics to help restore the microbiological balance of the skin, which improves firmness and resistance, increases cell renewal, and enhances skin condition and immunity.
