In the awards autumn series of blog posts, we get to know the brands and people behind the nominee products of the Nordic Natural Beauty Awards 2021. In this post, we are proud to share more about the Finnish skincare brand Anumati Skincare, as told by the founder of the brand, Anu Ruohosto:

“I was a beautician and a salon owner years ago. At the time, I was looking for a product line that would correspond to my own idea of raw materials and their functionality in skincare. As I came across nothing exact on the market, the idea of my own series that would respond to all of this, arose. I started to develop product formulas.

After completing a school on Herbal Science and chemistry, I decided that it was time to create my own brand of high-quality, organic skincare series. The range, as known Anumati Skincare today, focuses on nature and ecology and avoids unnecessary wastage in packaging.

Anumati Skincare was born out of my love for plants in 2010. From the beginning, it was clear that I was going to work with natural cosmetics only. I am so lucky to have been born in beautiful and pure nature. My mother was a woman who lived in a harmony with nature, and my Karelian grandmother was a plant healer, who had shamanistic abilities. I am privileged to have that heritage. With Anumati Skincare I wanted to create synergies between Finnish nature and folk traditions.

Ingredients are absolutely important to me, but so are formulas that perform. I have developed this product family with all my heart, so each product is a unique entity. I want to offer a comprehensive organic brand that offers only the best for skin and senses.

Anumati Skincare’s products cover a wide range of facial and skincare cosmetics for all skin types. They are affordable for both home and professional users. These complex and outstandingly effective products help, not only the beauticians’ work but also anyone at home that wants to enjoy quality skincare.

Over the years, we have produced and further developed skincare products with continuously proven high-quality results. We have built up a complete product line for overall skincare. Anumati Skincare beauty treatments are flexible and fit comfortably within today’s diverse lifestyles. Anumati Skincare is the first MADE SAFE certified series in the Nordic countries.

This is because, throughout the beauty industry’s history, the term ‘fragrance’ has been used to cloak thousands of potentially irritating ingredients that are not required to be listed individually. You’ll only know they are there when your skin reacts. Transparency is key. We never use synthetic colors, scents, or ‘perfumes’, so you know exactly what you are putting on your skin.
