Nordic Natural Beauty Awards 2021 winners were announced in the awards’ Instagram Live Show on Thursday, October 28th, 2021. The competition was tight in all of the categories, proving that all the nominees are just incredible.
We wanted to take a deeper look at the winners and why they specifically make a great addition to anyone’s beauty routine. To avoid the list of the winners becoming one heavy manual (even though we know it would be a good one!), we divided the winners into four parts. This post is all about BODY CARE.
SCRUB AND HYDRATE YOUR BODY
Grevinnans Rum received the prize of Best Nordic Natural Body Scrub with their Salt Scrub De Luxe. The scrub was also chosen as the Favourite Of The Jury (shared win together with HUMLE’s Body Butter Apelsini).
This award-winning body scrub contains natural salt from the Dead Sea, which has been used in bathing for thousands of years for various skin problems. The water in the Dead Sea contains 32-34% salt – compared to about 4% in other seas. It also contains 21 natural minerals such as magnesium, sodium and potassium chloride and calcium. When bathing with Dead Sea salt, the salinity should be as high as possible. The salt of the De Luxe is from the Dead Sea and it is the most mineral-rich salt. It is unrefined and contains everything your skin needs.
The scrub also retains moisture in the skin thanks to the natural oils it contains. Your skin is left soft and smooth after scrubbing. You can also do a wonderful bath for the body or just for the feet. The salt dissolves in the water and the oils melt. The bath strengthens your body and the scents of luxurious jasmine and citrus make you feel extra good.

First of all – the scent is amazing! I tried to use the product in the two different ways that were described and I liked both ways. I also appreciated how this both exfoliates and gives a calming and moisturized feeling at the same time.

HUMLE received the prize of the Best Nordic Natural Body Treatment with their Body Butter Apelsini, which was also chosen as the Favourite Of The Jury (shared win together with Grevinnans Rum’s Salt Scrub De Luxe).
HUMLE’s body butter is a caring cream for the whole body that both softens and protects normal, dry, and sensitive skin. It gives your skin a natural glow, soft feeling, nutritious recovery, and nice hydration. The butter contains 98% of whipped, cold-pressed organic Shea butter, almond oil, and coconut oil. The other 2% per cent is composed of natural vitamin E, essential oils, and the brand’s homegrown hops oil.
This is a silky, hand-whipped butter with a scent of orange fruits which has a soothing and skin-promoting effect. The scent does not feel intrusive but is just wonderfully soothing. DEEP HYDRATE THE DRY AREAS OF YOUR SKIN
HUMLE won also the category of care balms, with their Rena Smörjan Apelsini.
Rena smörjan is an extra protective and caring balm. It is mainly intended for really dry and chapped hands and other similar areas of the body. It comes in a convenient format and is easy to carry even in your pocket. The balm is very thick but is absorbed quickly and easily into the skin, leaving a dry feeling behind, as long as too much of the product is not applied. The winner balm has an aroma of fruity orange.

Ljung of Lapland’s fully natural deodorant, Hjortronblom Deodorant, received the title of Best Nordic Natural Deodorant in 2021. The wonderful floral and soft scent of cloudberries keeps you fresh throughout the day, as it was also noticed within the star jury:
A unique combination of aloe vera with antiseptic properties and purifying castor oil reduces irritation and scathing after shaving, and gives an incredibly comfortable and soft feeling. The right PH value helps maintain a natural balance on the sensitive skin under the arms.

The ‘Ekologisk Deodorant’ by Deolicious was chosen as the Best Natural Deodorant by the Men’s Jury. Here are a few comments from the whole jury (both women and men) on how the product was loved:
I have a hard time finding deodorants that work and don’t irritate my skin but this felt both very calming, the scent was nice and also, it did what it is supposed to do! I really liked this one!
This deodorant has a fresh feel to it. Reminds me of sauna and spa. Beautiful natural scent!

Deoliscious’ deodorant contains organic coconut oil, corn starch, bicarbonate, tea tree oil, and essential oils. The coconut oil softens and cares for the skin and it has also natural antibacterial properties. Corn starch instead absorbs moisture and leaves the skin feeling fresher. Bicarbonate works effectively in killing bacteria and removing sweaty smells. The essential oils give the product its’ fresh scent and add caring properties.
CARE FOR YOUR HANDS AND NAILS
Ecoil’s citrus-scented Hand And Nail Oil received the title of Best Nordic Natural Hand Care Product in 2021. The oil was loved by the star jury as follows:
Really enjoyed this product a lot. My hands have been feeling very dry due to constantly washing and sanitising them due to the pandemic. They felt really soft every time I used the oil and I just love the citrus scent!
It’s a great product to bring in your bag and use instead of a hand cream. Easy and comfortable for the skin.
My nails haven’t been this healthy in years. Really nourishes the nails.

The oil is based on cranberry seed oil. Similar to other ingredients in the products, it does not clog the skin pores and it absorbs really well giving the skin vitality and brightness. It contains the highest amount of tocotrienols found in any vegetable oil. Omega 3, 6, and 9 essential fatty acids are also unique to this oil. Because cranberry seed oil penetrates the skin easily, it is highly nourishing and moisturizing, leaving a light, non-greasy feeling and is widely used in anti-aging beauty products.
The oil includes also apricot kernel oil that contains higher levels of total phytosterols, tocopherols, and b-carotene, as well as vitamin A and E. Calendula oil is regenerative and anti-inflammatory, and it is good for treating damaged and chapped skin, making it a perfect ingredient for hand and nail care as well. The product is very long-lasting, meaning that with only a few drops you can easily hydrate your hands.
