In the awards autumn series of blog posts, we get to know the brands and people behind the nominee products of the Nordic Natural Beauty Awards 2022. In this post, we are proud to share more about the Swedish natural skincare brand Ester by Sweden, as told by the founder of the brand, Amanda Berglund:
“Ester by Sweden is a newly founded vegan skincare brand, created from my personal enthusiasm for skincare. I have a master’s degree in sustainable development, and during my studies in Uppsala, Sweden I worked a lot on the ground, and the idea of a clay mask with kind ingredients and clay as a base started to form. My dream was to merge my passions and skills into something I’ve created myself and see how far I can take it.
I’m really proud to have my first product – the Nordic Chill Clay Mask – nominated for the Nordic Natural Beauty Awards 2022 straight after its launch. It is a very kind and soothing mask that, to some, can feel cooling while on. It is completely packed with oils from weeds that grow in the fields of Sweden and Finland, such as canola, sunflower, borage, camelina, and oats. These oils are filled with vitamins C, E, and A, antioxidants, and fatty acids such as Linoleic. The main ingredient is wild birch sap which has three types of sugars; xylitol, fructose, and glucose which work to nourish, tone, and refresh your skin.
Nordic Chill is simply a hydrating boost bomb that anyone can use. This clay mask does not dry out, making your face unmovable. The oil quickly sinks into the skin, leaving a soft layer that you can peel off or dub off with a damp cloth. This will leave the skin feeling very clean and soft. What type of skin one has and/or how dry one is, affects the time the mask should stay on. About 10 minutes is ideal if you are sensitive, and 20 minutes if you have oily skin.
