In the awards autumn series of blog posts, we get to know the brands behind the nominee products of the Nordic Natural Beauty Awards 2023. In this post, we are proud to share more about the Norwegian natural cosmetics brand BeeKi Skincare, as told by the brand:

Tone Bryn (Founder) is a pharmacist, has a PhD in the immune system and has a long and broad experience in research and development of pharmaceuticals. Tone is a certified beekeeper and is trained in “Sacred Beekeeping Secrets”. Her interest and fascination with bees was created when she discovered the many health-promoting effects of the bees’ many products.

In 2021, she quit her dream job as clinical research director to do what she really wanted to do; being a full-time beekeeper and develop healthy and unique skincare products of high quality with ingredients from her own bees. Tone is focused on healthy and natural skincare and is very conscious in her choice of ingredients. In addition to functionality, she seeks organic and sustainable high-quality ingredients that are ethically sourced.

In the summer, Tone is a full-time beekeeper. She is concerned with the health and well-being of the bees and runs beekeeping in harmony with her bees.

Tone is the product developer, producer, and the beekeeper. She makes all the products by hand, in small batches in our own laboratory (small batches ensure “fresh” products).

The products contain natural and carefully selected ingredients – for the best for you and the planet. With respect for nature, Tone carefully selects ingredients/oils that, in addition to provide maximum therapeutic benefits, are certified organic, wildcrafted in their natural habitat, or grown using organic practices in cases where organic certification is unavailable.

The products are carefully composed of as few ingredients as possible and with properties that complement each other optimally to create the desired effect/function. Key ingredients in all products are beeswax from our own bees.

By looking after the bees and extracting the ingredients for the skincare products herself, she has full control over the quality and knows that the bees are in the best possible condition. We produce healthy and natural skincare with sustainable and skin-friendly ingredients. All BeeKi products are 100% natural.

With age, the skin’s natural production of fat decreases. The skin becomes less elastic, drier, and less able to retain moisture. By applying BeeKi skin oils, the skin receives nourishment and fatty acids, and the skin’s aging process can be reversed. A protective layer is formed which helps the skin retain moisture.

Regardless of skin type, the skin needs a supply of essential fatty acids to be in a healthy balance. Choosing the “right type” of oil is essential. Clean and good oils have many advantages; reduces wrinkles and fine lines, reduces large pores in the skin, treats acne, has a calming effect, increases skin elasticity, protects the skin, increases regeneration of skin cells, protects against UV light, etc.

The beeswax in the oils provides a natural protective layer and helps keep the skin moist, soft and smooth throughout the day and night (without clogging the pores).

Sacred Glow Face Oil – Saffron, myrrh and sandalwood

Creates to provide glow, deep nourishment and care for body and mind. Saffron is rich in vitamin E, prevents signs of aging and gives the skin lots of glow. The oil contains beeswax from our own bees. It provides a natural protective layer and helps
keep the skin moist, soft, and smooth throughout the day and night.

Sacred Glow is nurturing for both body and mind. It is uplifting and gives a feeling of inner strength. The oil provides a balanced calm and is perfect for meditation and to promote better sleep.

Sacred Glow works deep into the skin and adds plenty of nourishment without clogging the pores. The oil is quickly absorbed and leaves a velvety smooth surface. The skin stays soft and supple all day, and it also doesn’t feel tight and dry after a long night. Contains ingredients known to have a revitalizing effect, stimulate collagen production, increase skin elasticity, and prevent lines, wrinkles, age spots and other signs of ageing.

Rich in vitamin E and Omega 3, 6 and 9. High content of antioxidants that protect the skin against free radicals from e.g., UV radiation and pollution. Vital nutrients give the skin an even skin tone and lots of glow. Several of the ingredients have been shown to have natural anti-septic and anti-inflammatory properties which make the oil suitable for dry, red, and irritated skin (eczema, rash and psoriasis). Regenerative properties are healing for scars and damaged skin.

The beekeeping season is coming to an end. We are now focusing on the launch of new anti-aging products that will come on the market during the autumn.

Our main goal in the future is to reach as many people as possible and make BeeKi Skincare available to new customers and markets. We are looking forward to celebrating our 1-year anniversary on 11.11.

We produce all the products ourselves, in our private lab with our own beeswax. All our products are manufactured according to quality standards that meet the requirements of ISO standard 22716:2007 (GMP) and the cosmetics regulation. We primarily choose external suppliers that carry certified organic ingredients. The suppliers must be ISO 9001 (quality), must meet relevant requirements for GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and should be ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 (working environment) certified.

We believe in “Beauty in simplicity”, and by providing natural, multi-purpose products for the whole family we can contribute with environmentally healthy skincare products that take care of both you and the planet.
