In the awards autumn series of blog posts, we get to know the brands behind the nominee products of the Nordic Natural Beauty Awards 2023. In this post, we are proud to share more about the Finnish natural cosmetics brand Vuohelma, as told by the brand:
“Vuohelma is a Finnish cosmetics company founded in 2016. We produce handcrafted natural skin care products in the countryside – all with goat milk. Goat milk has unique nourishing properties that make it the perfect ingredient for skin- and haircare, especially for sensitive skin and scalp. Goat milk is rich in essential fatty acids and triglycerides. The essential fatty acids have a unique pH similar to that of humans, so it is less irritating and more easily absorbed by our skin. Plus, these fatty acids and triglycerides are super moisturizing.
The ingredient lists are very short in our products, meaning that the products are simple enough to nourish our skin in a natural way. The product range includes nutrition for face, body and hair, created from natural ingredients such as goat milk, beeswax, honey, mango and shea butter, coldpressed oils and berry powders. We never use synthetic colors or scents, parabens or silicone in our products.
Our nominee in the Nordic Natural Beauty Awards contest is Raspberry & Goat Milk Facial Soap Bar – although called soap, it’s actually a soap-free cleansing bar. It creates a creamy lather which gently cleanses your skin while preserving its natural moisture barrier and pH balance. In addition to goat milk, this cleansing bar contains a gentle surfactant derived from coconut oil, mango butter, raspberry seed oil, kaolin clay and raspberry powder, which also gives the bar its light and natural scent of raspberry.
Your skin is the largest organ on your body, absorbing a lot of what you put on it – it’s really worth considering a gentle alternative of unique and pure goat milk cosmetics from Vuohelma!”
